Our Concrete Coating Process

1. Contact us

   Schedule an estimate. Tell us the square footage, whether the slab has ever been coated or sealed, and what the floor takes — daily vehicle traffic, a workshop, gym equipment.

2. Inspect the slab

   We check for cracks, spalling, prior sealers, and moisture coming up through the slab. Moisture is the single most common reason a coating peels, and it has to be identified before anything goes down.

3. Review the estimate

   You get the system we’re recommending, the flake or color selection, coverage, cure schedule, and price — in writing, before the grinder comes out.

4. Prepare and profile the concrete

   Diamond grinding opens the surface so the coating can mechanically bond. This is non-negotiable. Coatings applied over a sealed or unprofiled slab peel in sheets, usually in the first winter.

5. Repair cracks and joints

   Cracks, chips, and control joints are filled and leveled so the finished floor reads as one clean surface instead of a map of old damage.

6. Apply the coating system

   Base coat, decorative flake broadcast if you’ve chosen it, then a polyaspartic or urethane topcoat for abrasion and chemical resistance. Layers go down on schedule, not whenever the crew gets back.

7. Cure and hand back

   We give you the exact timeline for foot traffic and vehicle traffic, walk the floor with you, and go over cleaning and care so the finish stays looking new.
