Polyurea & Polyaspartic Floor Coating
The Chemistry Behind One-Day Floors That Outlast Epoxy
Polyurea — and its slower-reacting cousin polyaspartic — is why modern floor coatings cure in hours instead of days, flex with the slab instead of chipping, and never amber in sunlight the way epoxy does. It’s the chemistry we build our topcoats on, and on the right floor, the full system.

- Polyaspartic topcoats
UV-stable, abrasion- and salt-resistant wear layers over base coat and flake — our standard finish for garages.
- Fast-turnaround systems
Full polyaspartic builds that return a floor to service dramatically faster than epoxy schedules.
- Flexibility and impact resistance
Coatings that move with temperature swings and take dropped-tool impacts without chipping — the failure modes rigid epoxy is known for.
- Same prep standard
Chemistry doesn’t excuse shortcuts: diamond grinding and repair come first, whatever goes on top.

Polyurea Floor Coating — Common Questions
Polyurea vs. epoxy — what's actually different?
Cure speed, UV stability and flexibility. Epoxy is a fine base material but ambers in sunlight and cures rigid; polyurea/polyaspartic cures fast, stays clear, and flexes with the slab. Many quality systems — including ours — pair an appropriate base with a polyaspartic topcoat to get the best of each.
Is 'one-day floor' marketing real?
The chemistry makes it possible on straightforward slabs — grind, repair, base, flake and topcoat in a long day, driving on it soon after. Floors needing heavy repair or moisture work take longer, and we’ll schedule honestly rather than promise the ad copy.
Does polyurea work on basement and shop floors?
Yes — anywhere concrete needs a durable, cleanable finish. Interior floors skip the UV concern but keep every other benefit, especially the fast return to service.

Junior and his crew were great to work with on our office redesign. They got us our estimate same day and gave a great price. The hardworking crew got the job done faster than I expected, and it also came out perfectly. We will be using him and his team again in the future.
I hired Home Drywall and Painting to finish my three-car garage starting from bare studs, and they did an outstanding job. They handled insulation, full sheetrock installation, mudding and taping, and painting — all in-house. What normally would take multiple contractors was completed by one company, which made the process smooth and efficient.
After my first contractor jerked me around for 2 weeks with excuses, the team at Home Drywall & Painting became my Plan B. Jessica took my call, sent me a proposal and had me booked next day. Adam had his team dispatched and they finished in about 3.5 hours. They had one hiccup during install, but they resolved the issue and made it right. Everyone was respectful and polite. The end price was exactly what I was quoted. Happy to recommend.
They were very respectful of our home and our schedule, did an absolutely beautiful job — and communicated daily about what to expect. A plumbing water damage mishap to our finished lower level meant repairing the entire ceiling: skim, sand, re-texture, paint — plus removal and reinstallation of ceiling fans, a chandelier, can lights, speakers and vents. Gerid and the Home Drywall team also offered a very competitive price.
